A look back to celebrate 5 years of our history.

Kicking off Janaina Torres Galeria’s five-year celebration program, our project for the online viewing room 2021 aligns this special moment with SP-Arte, a benchmark in our history and traditionally the starting point in the calendar of relevant events on the national art circuit. In popular mythology, the Wooden Wedding is the celebration of half a decade of union. For Janaina Torres Galeria, which since its creation has been committed to educating diverse audiences and expanding artwork through genuine closeness and openness, this union takes place between individuals and spaces, where artists, staff and collaborators think of the market, art, culture, education and respect for subjectivities as the core of our existence. The selection of works is based on celebrating the plurality and power of our artists and their research, as well as the desire to share with the public a look that celebrates our history, looking to the future.
